UHI Rebel Fund
£2,500 available for creative sustainability projects, supported by Clare Campbell of Prickly Thistle.
Deadline
Friday 24 October 2025Have you got an idea that will help the planet? The UHI Rebel Fund could help you make it real.
What’s the UHI Rebel Fund?
The UHI Rebel Fund will award £2,500 maximum to one UHI student or group of students to run a project that will make things better for people and the planet at UHI or in the local community.
It could be something small and practical, or something creative and awareness raising – anything that will help push for change and support sustainability. We’re looking for ideas that will challenge how things are usually done.
You don’t need to be an expert or have it all figured out – you just need to have a great idea and the passion to make it happen.
Made possible by Prickly Thistle
The UHI Rebel Fund has been made possible through the support of Prickly Thistle, and it's founder Clare Campbell.
Prickly Thistle is Scotland's only tartan weaving mill that's fully values-led. Prickly Thistle isn't just about textiles; it's about rebellion, creativity, and sustainability.
They've shown that business can be bold, ethical, and planet friendly - and now they're backing students at UHI to do the same with their own ideas.
